Working with the TRAVEL HOUSE

An interview with pupils

  • Interviewer: Hello children, you were working on the “Travel House” task. Did you like it? What was inside the parcel? Who was it from?

  • Children: Yes, we liked it very much. We got the Travel House from our friends in German school. In the house there were a lot of sweets which we liked very much. There was a letter, a lot of pictures, a book, a hand-made present for our classroom and there was the toy house; it was really cool!

  • Interviewer: And what did you do? What did you make and prepare for your friends in Norway?
  •
  • Children: First, we took photos of the toy house full of sweets and we tasted the sweets, of course. We played with the toy house – we put some furniture from our doll’s houses there, we put our teddy bears and other plush toys there and we also showed the house to our classroom pet, a hamster Skippy. We wrote letters to our friends in Rovar. We drew pictures of our houses or rooms. We chose the children in Norway Czech sweets that we like very much. And we made presents, too. We worked with potter’s clay in our art lessons - we made small houses, we painted them, we burnt them in the stove and we put them on a yellow piece of paper. We wrapped them and send everything to Norway. We are very happy that the children in Rovar liked it.
  •
  • Interviewer: Is there anything else you would like to say?

  • Children: Yes, we are happy that we could work on this task and we are very surprised that our class is almost as big as the whole school in Rovar.
  •
  • Interviewer: Thank you and have a nice time.
  • Children: Thank you,  too.
